About Brunswick
Brunswick sits on the Androscoggin River in Cumberland County, at the point where southern Maine turns into the midcoast. It is considerably larger and busier than the northern towns we work in, with a downtown that stays active year round.
Bowdoin College has been here since 1794 and gives the town much of its character, along with a calendar of lectures, exhibitions and concerts that are open to the public. The former Brunswick Naval Air Station closed in 2011 and has been redeveloped as Brunswick Landing, which brought commercial and residential space onto the map.
For renters, Brunswick offers what the smaller towns cannot: a walkable center with shops and restaurants, a wide range of employers, rail and bus service, and the coast close at hand. Rents reflect that, and they are higher here than in Aroostook or Piscataquis, but so is what is within walking distance.
Availability in Brunswick is limited and it moves quickly. If nothing below suits, contact us and we will let you know as soon as something opens up.
